" For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do." (Rom 7:19)
In our last study, we saw how frustrated the Apostle Paul was with his flesh. How he experienced failure and the solution God gave to him in Rom 7:25---With the mind he serves the law of God. That is a powerful statement. I believe that God at that moment showed him that he has the mind of Christ! We, also, saw how the word Christ is the yoke breaking, burden removing power of God. (Isa 10:27) So, think about it! Jesus is not only our Savior, but he was known to break yokes and lift burdens. It's the same association when you think of computers, the name Bill Gates comes to mind.
My question to you is are you allowing this mind (Christ) to be in you? Brethren, we need to understand that God's blessing is not going to fall on you and presto you have the mind of Christ. We have to fight the fight of faith. God is not a Santa Claus and yes he has given us all things to enjoy but we have to do our part. There is an enemy called Satan and he uses the flesh and the world to stumble us.
Israel was given a land by God. It was their inheritance, but there were giants they had to fight against. Our flesh has enjoyed the past lifestyle and for some, it has been 20, 30 or 40 years---Do you think that living for Christ is going to be a walk in the park? Not without the anointing! We have to fight the good fight of faith. Let's look at the following---
" Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ" (II Cor 10:5)
We have work to do. We need to monitor what goes through our mind and use our authority to cast down imaginations that are contrary to God's word. Binding and loosing is the key. We need to bind thoughts that are against God and put them under our feet. After that, we need to speak that word and chew on it. Loose the spirit and anointing in that word, only then will our minds be renewed and we will begin to develop the mind of Christ in us. God bless!

ARE YOU READY TO DIE?
" And Jesus cried again with a loud voice and gave up His spirit. And at once the curtain of the sanctuary of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom; the earth shook and the rocks were split. The tombs were opened and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep in death were raised [to life]; And coming out of the tombs after His resurrection, they went into the holy city and appeared to many people. (Amplified--Matt 27:50-53)
I know that my title will draw some attention, but again I ask the question----Are you ready to die? Death is not a pleasant subject. Nobody likes to talk about it. We tend to put it in the back of our minds, but death is a reality.
o talk about death in the spiritual sense. A deatIf you are saved, you have an anointing inside of you, which can get to its maximum level when you die to self.(I John 2:20) Elisha the prophet had such a strong anointing that even after his death, his bones brought life to a dead man. (II Kings 13:20-21) I deal with requests for prayer as a Minister of the Word. Many are worried and stressed out, but, if they knew that they have the precious promises of God, life would be so different. God knows the end from the beginning and he calls us more than conquerors.(Rom 8:37)
In fact, we need to kill the old man and take him back to memory lane. To the time when we got baptized in water and buried him there. (Col 2:11-13/Col 3:5) Brethren, that is why baptism in water is so important. That is the place where you made covenant with God. The word of God says to put on Christ and that includes arming yourself with his armor. (Romans 13:14, Eph 6:10-18)Water Baptism is the place where you buried the old man and took off his clothes. If the old man has resurrected again, take off his clothes and kill him.Take him back to memory lane. Remind him that he is buried in the waters of baptism, take off his clothes and put on Christ.

People pay big money for memories. You see commercials on songs of the '60's and '70's taking you to that first love...to those high school days, how much more should we do it with Jesus? He is our first love! He is our everything. Understanding the importance of death in Christ and the potential for anointing should help us to strive to the point of excellence. Today, unleash the power inside of you by partaking of his death! Great surprises and wonders will be yours for a lifetime.
