Find the missing piece!

For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? but we have the mind of Christ. (I Cor 2:16)

Life. It is full of mysteries and unanswered questions. Even Christian are at their wit's end trying to figure out what to do in life. While I do not have all the answers to life's problems, God's word does. Many Christians and Non-Christians have the mistaken notion that we have to take what life dishes out to us and as we hold on, we get to heaven and forget about the pains of the earth.
Now, please do not misunderstand me, I am not saying that you will be problem-free. It is a fact that we live in a fallen world and problems are always going to hit you, sometimes, unexpectedly. What I am saying is that God has given us a battle manual, his word and it has the answers that you and I need in this life.
In fact, when you made Jesus the Lord of your life, he, not, only saved you from death and hell but he gave you the anointing(power) to use to face the testings and trials of life. The word Christ is defined as anointing. A careful study of Acts 4:25-26 makes reference to PS 2:1-2. If you carefully look at the word Christ in Acts 4:26, it is translated as the anointed in PS 2:2. When you go to Isa 10:27, the anointing is defined as yoke breaking, burden removing power.
To sum it up, Christ is the yoke breaking, burden removal power of God. A yoke is bondage to sin, sickness, debt, etc. A burden is stress, fear or worry. I Cor 2:16 says that you have the mind of Christ. Here is the icing on the cake, the word says that Christ has been made unto us wisdom. (I Cor 1:30) What is wisdom? Wisdom is the ability to come up with answers to life's toughest problems.
So, in essence, that means that if you are working as a janitor or CEO of a company, there is in you wisdom to, not, only be the best in your field but to come up with answers to problems in the workplace. An example was Joseph. His wisdom helped save a whole nation! So, friends, if you do not know what to do when problems hit you. If your back is against the wall, let the mind of Christ flow through you. You will be surprised at the answers that God will give you in life.
For all who contact me, I want to send you a gift. I want to send you a personalized prayer that will help you unlock God's secrets, mysteries and give you answers in life. If you are bored with your bible reading, now it's time for a change. Let it come alive and give forth answers to life's toughest problems.

Pastor's thoughts....Feb 9, 2015

                                               HELP!

Believe it or not, there was a song with that title back in the 60's. The song help was from the Beatles which was made into a hit movie. The lyrics--"Help, I need somebody. Help, Not just anybody.... " In life, we, all, run into problems and obstacles that would challenge us. Sometimes, that person who has, always, been there for you will let you down. Friends, I am here to tell you --Jesus will never let you down. He is there to comfort you and take care of you.
How many times have you had the experience of asking something from God and it does not manifest? Many are turning away from God. There is a hunger in man to find God. God is unknown to the natural man, so he fills that void with earthly and carnal pleasures. Many think that God is like the genie in the lamb---Your wish is my command. Stop and think about this for a minute, Why on earth would God give us a bible to use?
The Bible is instructions from God on how to live for him, to live a victorious life and see life's circumstances change for the better. Yes, it is a battle out there but God has given us a manual to overcome life's toughest problems. The world is looking for answers and that wisdom lies within the church! God has created us to be problem-solvers in life.
When you are in Christ, you have a genius that lives on the inside of you. Christ has been made unto us WISDOM. Do you know what that means? It means that you and I have the answers to, not only, all our problems but the problems that this world is facing. The church needs to get away from mediocre thinking of just getting by, of just staying within the four walls of a building.
There is a world out there that is waiting for God's wisdom to operate and solve problems. In this day, let me challenge you to be used of God to be a problem-solver. Allow his wisdom to flow in you to help solve your problems and others. Remember these words for today---Wisdom is the principal thing. (Prov 4:7) God bless.

Are your problems speaking to you?

" And on the morrow, when they were come from Bethany, he was hungry: And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came, if haply he might find any thing thereon: and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves; for the time of figs was not yet. And Jesus answered and said unto it, No man eat fruit of thee hereafter for ever. And his disciples heard it. "
                                                          (Mark 11:12-14)

This is the question you must ask in this day. Our problems are talking to us day and night. Our society is filled with stress and high anxiety. It's no wonder that heart attacks are at the top of our list when it comes to sickness and disease, but believe it or not, I have good news. The Bible has all the answers.
As you read Mark 11:12-14, Jesus had a bad day. He was hungry and wanted breakfast. Fig trees, during Bible times, provided delicious dates that were eaten for breakfast. Now, in this age and time, we will go to a Hardee's or McDonald for breakfast and have some bacon, eggs and coffee. Imagine not getting to Hardee's  because you had a flat tire? By the time you fix it, it was time to go to work! That's a bad day!
Jesus was no exception. He wanted to find some delicious dates, but it wasn't there. It said something. That fig tree spoke something to Jesus---It said no figs for you. Lack was talking!  What did Jesus do? He answered it with the word.(Mark 11:14) That word was so strong that it went to the root of the tree and it dried out.
Are you going thru a financial challenge? Believe it or not, Lack is talking to you! Been given a bad report for your health? Lack is talking. In this day, I challenge you to renew your mind to God's word. Answer your lack with the word and watch it go deep to the root of your problem and give you victory---God bless!
