It's time to WAKE UP!
" If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. " (II Chronicles 7:14)
We have heard this quoted thousands of times throughout the body of Christ, but do we know what it means? Look around you and see that our country is in trouble. We have permissive lifestyles, shootings. corruption and abortions. Our leaders (Regardless of which political party) are at a loss, not knowing what to do. The economy is tanking and the sad truth is that taxes will go up again. The gun issue is not going to go away and we may see civil war in our backyard.
Brethren, its time to wake up and revolt. I am not saying pick up your weapons and stand against the government, but revolt in a spiritual way. Whether you know it or not, judgement is about to hit the church and it is time to judge ourselves before God does. (II Cor 11:31) We have corruption in our own back yard. Without naming names, I will give you a few examples. First, we had a dear brother who is a well known say that Mormons are Christians. What happened? People overlooked it and he is now popular than ever preaching a "feel good" gospel. If this had happened in the '80's, his ministry would have been toast.
Another well known minister was accused of molesting young children. No admission of guilt and he is still going stronger than ever. Does character matter? Apparently not so. I can quote you endless circumstances like these, yet we wonder why our country is all messed up. Yet, the body tolerates this. We need to wake up, body of Christ.
Yes, its nice to hear that God wants you healed and prosperous and I am not against it. What I am against is that we hear too much of these things and don't hear the other side----Repentance and Godly living. We see God as a Santa Claus and don't realize that he expects us to fulfill our end.
Ask yourself, when have you seen ministries that give the sinner an invitation to get saved? When have you seen sermons on sin and holiness preached on TV? Very, Very few. We need to wake up and start demanding accountability on these leaders. We need to stop supporting ministries that have lost their focus on souls and just preach a "feel good" gospel.
Mark my words, God is not pleased and I believe that there is going to be a shaking of major ministries. Ministries that were once solid and strong will go down in flames and shame. God is going to raise up holy men and women of God who will be fearless in their preaching. Yes,God is not finished with America but there will be surprises in the body. God will raise up new leaders with a new vision. That is my prayer.... God bless!
