The importance of confession and meditation!

Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows." (Heb 1:9)

Sin! We all have to deal with it. Thank God, Jesus took our sins on the cross but we live in a fallen world. We have a fleshly body that is intent on sinning. We are in a battlefield and the battle is our mind. Thank God, the war was won in the Spirit.(Col 2:15) Our Spirit Man is seated in heavenly places, but we still have to deal with the soul(Mind, will and emotions) and body (Flesh).
Satan wants to have our mind, Why? Because the mind will, ultimately, determine whether we will walk in Victory or Defeat! How do you see yourself? Many Christians have issues that they have to deal with. They get condemned at having failed the Lord time after time. My question to you is how do you see yourself?
First, we need to have a plan for battle and it starts in the mind. When you are battling with a habit, bondage or weakness, you need to see yourself victorious. God does! He says that you are more than a conqueror! Learn to think like God. See yourself as God sees you!
Second, we need to learn how to hate sin! A lot of Christians are not victorious because they love sin. Many say that if you sin, you are not a Christian. That kind of thinking is wrong and has made many Christians backslide. Any Christian can sin and miss it.
When we come to Christ, our Spirit man is saved, but our soul and body needs to line up. We've got to work this salvation daily. (Phil 2:12) If you study the word salvation in the Greek, it not only, means salvation from hell- It includes Preservation, safety, healing, prosperity and deliverance. Our mindset has years of "Data" from the world. We need to download "new software" and renew our minds.  So, in this day, take some time out and confess this wonderful promise from Heb 1:9! It will make a world of difference in your life!

Prayer-Dear Lord, Forgive me for my sins. I will, now, make the necessary changes regarding sin my life. With your grace, I am more than a conqueror. My mind is the mind of Christ. I love righteousness and hate iniquity. I am anointed with the oil of gladness and the joy of the Lord is my strength. Thank you for giving me the victory today! In Jesus Name! Amen
