Is your blessing passing you by?

" And as they departed from Jericho, a great multitude followed him.
And, behold, two blind men sitting by the way side, when they heard that     Jesus passed by, cried out, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou son of David. And the multitude rebuked them, because they should hold their peace: but they cried the more, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou son of David.
And Jesus stood still, and called them, and said, What will ye that I shall do unto you?  They say unto him, Lord, that our eyes may be opened.
So Jesus had compassion on them, and touched their eyes: and immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed him." (Matt 20:29-34)

As we study the above verse, we see something interesting. We see that Jesus had departed from Jericho and was passing by. Two blind men heard him and yelled for Jesus. Brethren, we know that Jesus lives within us,if we are saved, but how many times has our blessings passed us by? Notice-They were blind, but they weren't deaf!
How many times have our blessings passed us by? How many times where we not only blind, but deaf in a spiritual sense and not grab hold of our blessings? A prosperous Christian sister went to a Walmart and, deliberately, dropped a twenty dollar bill in the aisle. As she walked away, she noticed a couple with a baby that weren't well dressed. They were looking at the Pampers section on the side aisle. She wanted to be a blessing and was hoping that $20 dollar bill could be noticed by them.To her amazement, the money was below their feet and they passed on by, not even bothering to look down at the floor.
To top it off, she left the twenty in there for a couple of minutes. People passed on by and would you believe that not one noticed it? Their mind was distracted and they did not bother to look at the floor aisle and see their blessing.Their blessing passed them by.
The word says that when your trust is not in the Lord, you are cursed. Government is not the answer! Your job is not the answer! Jesus is the answer and he is your source. When your eyes are not in the Lord, the word says that you shall not notice when good cometh (Jer 17:5-7) In this day, let us ask the Lord to not only open our eyes, but our ears too! Let's not let our blessings pass us by!
