Wisdom is the principal thing---Part 3
"Wisdom and knowledge is granted unto thee; and I will give thee riches, and wealth, and honour, such as none of the kings have had that have been before thee, neither shall there any after thee have the like." (II Chron 1:12)
In our last study, we saw how Solomon had his priorities in order and asked God for wisdom. God had raised him up to be a king and Solomon had a heart for the people. We, also, saw that God has given the church revelation knowledge in the new covenant. In this study, we will see the benefits of wisdom. As noted in the top verse, God not only gave Solomon wisdom and knowledge, but added material wealth and honor. Many in the body face financial needs and I have ministered to many who are hurting.
I am burdened for them and wish I could write out a check to help them, but without wisdom, they would fall into a bigger pit. When you ask for wisdom, you, not, only get out of debt but you stay out of debt. It is not enough to just get money to wipe out your debt-You need wisdom to not fall into the same hole again.
Wisdom has its benefits. She is defined as a woman in Proverbs 3-Why? Because a woman is known for her seduction. The world is hungry and looking for wisdom. It is a great bait to reel in souls for the kingdom. It is not enough to just preach the word in letter, but in demonstration and power. When we provide answers to life's most difficult problems, the world will beat a path to our house.
" Length of days is in her right hand; and in her left hand riches and honour." (Prov 3: 16) Notice the side benefits of wisdom. Not only does it give riches and honor, but long life and health. Wisdom will deliver the one two punch needed to attack the challenges of life. Our Lord Jesus is defined as wisdom. (I Cor 1:30) In Proverbs 3, we see wisdom symbolized as a woman and Jesus representing wisdom. I got good news for you if you are a Christian. You have a genius living inside of you. Let's learn how to access wisdom today. God bless!
