WIsdom is the principal thing! Part II

In our last study, we saw how Solomon had his priorities in order. We, also, saw how God appeared to him during the night hours to speak to him. God was willing to grant Solomon his petition. He did not ask for the death of his enemies nor riches, but asked for wisdom and understanding to be able to rule his people. (II Chron 1:10-11)
Our leaders, be in the secular or spiritual world, need wisdom. We need to keep our leaders in prayer so that wisdom will be the order of the day. We, all, need wisdom in our lives, but there is still good news for us! God is not, only, willing to give wisdom, but he wants to add more. Consider this verse- " That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him" (Eph 1: 17) This prayer was prayed by the Apostle Paul for the Ephesian church. Ephesus had a strong background in Idolatry and Diana was one of its main godess.(Acts 19)
The Apostle Paul with help from others worked in that area for about 2 years. It had a demonic stronghold and one of that spirit was Diana. Yes, they worked miracles, many got saved and healed-but guess what? The apostle Paul rocked the boat-The Ephesian economy was based on the worship of Diana and this stirred up the people against him. It is no different now. Back in the '80's, when Christians started to stand against immorality and stopped buying the products that supported ungodly TV programs, the liberal media went against the church with a vegeance.
Another idol in America is Abortion. It is not against a women's right to choose, it is business. Follow the money-Abortion is big business and the idol is Greed. The media has been succesful in brainwashing a multitude of people that a fetus is not a person. Even in the church, this evil has spread. I know of a Pastor who counselled his daughter to abort her baby behind closed doors. Bear in mind, YOUR SINS WILL FIND YOU OUT!
The apostle Paul realized that the Ephesians needed help and prayed for not only wisdom, but revelation knowledge. Ephesians 1:14-23 and 3:14-21 should be prayers that the body of Christ should pray, not only for others but for themselves. I, personally, pray it before my study in the word and I can't tell you how much God has spoken to me through his word. We need to learn how to personalize God's promises for ourselves and I have prepared these prayers in a personal way. You can go to my website and access it free of charge...www.rhema56.com. God willing, I hope to share more on Wisdom. God bless!
Prayer- "Dear Lord, give me wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him. Point out idols that may be hidden in my heart. Help me to hear your voice and make right decisions for myself and others. In Jesus name-Amen!"
